Tunisian government adopts a bill on the social and solidarity economy (SSE)
 
A bill on the SSE was adopted by the Tunisian government on 11 December 2019. The ILO has provided technical support to the development of this bill through the PROMESS project. The bill will be submitted to the National Assembly for possible adoption in the coming year. Read more

Indian women co-operators are being trained to roll out Think.Coop
 
The ILO supported the adaptation and translation of the ILO’s Think.Coop training tool into Hindi and Gujarati. The Indian Academy of Self-Employed Women (IASEW) conducted a training of facilitators on Think.Coop, with a view to further strengthening women cooperative entrepreneurs in the rural and informal economies of Gujarat and other states in India. Read more

We Build Bridges
 
The ILO has joined a coalition of actors to supporting the implementation of a Roadmap to the Sustainable and Responsible Financial Inclusion of forcibly displaced persons (FDPs). This roadmap offers a set of key policy recommendations for: governments, the private sector, humanitarian and development agencies, research organisations, and the standard-setting bodies. During the Global Refugee Forum and together with the coalition, the ILO had pledged to contribute to the ‘’jobs and livelihoods area’’ through progressing the Roadmap. Read more
