The Committee for the Promotion and Advancement of Cooperatives (COPAC) Technical Working Group (TWG) on Statistics of Cooperatives held its second meeting in Geneva to advance the guidelines to be presented and discussed at the 20th International Conference of Labour Statisticians (ICLS) in October 2018. More

Research project on financial mechanisms for innovative social and solidarity economy (SSE) ecosystems
 
Supported by the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, this project aims at fostering a better understanding of the global ecosystem of a number of SSE stakeholders and the financial mechanism that supports and consolidate them. The Spanish Strategy of the Social Economy 2017-2020
 
The Spanish Strategy of the Social Economy 2017-2020 was published on 20 March 2018 (available here in Spanish only). According to the adopted Agreement, the strategy "responds to the need to take into account and promote the specificities of social economy enterprises and organizations in the single market, as well as to include and support social economy enterprises and organizations through programmes, projects and funds, and in the innovative and sustainable development of an adequate financial ecosystem". The strategy includes promoting participation of Spain in the next ILO SSE Academy to be organized in Spain in the second half of 2018. More information will be available at the Academy's website in due time.
