Cooperating out of child labour in Malawi

From 14-17 November, a Training of Trainers (ToT) event on using agricultural cooperatives for the elimination of hazardous child labour was held in Malawi. The training was organised within the framework of a project aiming to reduce hazardous child labour in tobacco growing through social dialogue, and as part of a wider approach of the ILO on ways in which cooperatives can tackle the issue of child labour in agriculture. >>More
ILO participation in the 2nd Philippine Cooperative Managers’ Conference

From 24-25 November 2017, ILO Enterprise Development Specialist from ILO office in Manila participated in the 2nd Philippine Cooperative Managers’ Conference organised by the National Capital Region League of the Philippine Federation of Credit Cooperatives (NCRL-PFCCO) in Tagaytay. ILO presents the contribution of cooperative enterprises to the future of work at a side event to the European Social Summit

On 16 November, a conference on the role of the social economy in the future of work was organised by the European Commission, the European Economic and Social Committee, the City of Gothenburg and Västra Götaland Region as a side event to the Social Summit for Fair Jobs and Growth.
