Supporting Financial and Non-Financial Service Providers in quest of greater gender inclusivity
 
The Rebuilding Better Project (RBB) together with ILO-WED programme, published a guide on gender-inclusive service provision for financial and BDS providers. The guide explains the benefits of targeting women entrepreneurs and how to tailor products and service delivery in a step-by-step approach. The guide will be officially launched during a webinar on International Women’s Day (March 8th, at 10 a.m. Geneva /4pm Bangkok/5pm Manila time) exploring how development actors can support service providers in being more gender sensitive. Register now

“The role of cooperatives in eliminating child labour” tool is now available in Spanish
 
The translation of the training package was supported by the ILO Country Office for Argentina and the Regional Initiative Latin America and the Caribbean Free of Child Labour: platform made up of 30 countries in the region, employers' and workers' organizations, which jointly promote national policies to prevent and eliminate child labour. Read more

ILO presents on women’s cooperatives at a side event during the 60th session of the UN Committee on Social Development (CSD)
 
ILO COOP Unit Manager Ms Simel Esim delivered a keynote address at the side event. Highlighting the quadruple crisis of public health, livelihood, care, and violence, she reflected on the role women-owned cooperatives have played during the COVID-19 pandemic in protecting the lives and livelihoods in their communities. Read more

The 38th UNTFSSE meeting was held virtually on 24 February 2022. 30 years of Social Finance: Winners of idea generation contest announced
 
To mark its 30-year anniversary, The ILO's Social Finance programme organized a contest to conceptualize the Future of Work and Finance. It has now selected the three winners for each of its work streams: Katherine Brickell (financial inclusion), Jose Miguel Flores Contro (impact insurance) and Aurore Iradukunda (sustainable investing). The three studies will be showcased in an upcoming webinar.
