| Enterprise formalization means bringing enterprises under the regulation with the advantages and obligations that this entails. In order to measure informality among economic units, it is necessary to determine a) to what extent economic units are registered with the relevant agencies at the national level, and b) to what extent they comply with the regulations that apply to them. The Theory of Change on enterprise formalization describes how formalization can lead to more sustainable enterprises and decent work. Read more |

Blue or pink, boy or girl? How Gender Biases Influence Work Environments

The SCORE Program in Colombia conducted an experiment by inviting over 700 people from different enterprises, unions and public entities to answer whether a baby in the photograph shown was a girl or a boy. This experiment was aimed at uncovering unconscious gender biases and stereotypes that help understand discrimination, including wage gaps and unemployment in the world of work today. Read more

International labour standards and corporate social responsibility: the labour dimension of human rights due diligence
This course aims to strengthen the capacity of participants to understand the principles of international labour standards as they relate to company operations (including due diligence related to labour rights) and how those principles can be most effectively implemented in company operations.
