Exploring Social and Solidarity Economy’s (SSE) Development in Asia
|

| There is growing interest in the SSE globally, yet the understanding on the definition, size, scale, impact, limitations and potential of the SSE is in early stages of development in Asia and the Pacific region. In order to contribute towards bridging the gap, the ILO has embarked on a two-year project on Strengthening Social and Solidarity Economy Policy in Asia. In its first phase the project aimed to: raise awareness on the SSE; and convene relevant stakeholders together to advance the SSE policy in in six countries in Asia - Republic of Korea, Japan, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines.
