ILO COOP sends a letter and video message of solidarity
|
| |
ILO COOP has been receiving invitations to share messages of solidarity from its cooperative and other social and solidarity economy (SSE) partners since the beginning of COVID-19. In response, it has issued a letter and video message of solidarity highlighting emerging responses by these organizations to the pandemic and reflecting on their relevance in the transition toward a better normal.
The Letter is available in French, Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese and is being disseminated through social media and organizations and networks of cooperatives and other SSE partners. The Message has also been translated into Greek by Wind of Renewal, a social cooperative enterprise in Greece, and Portuguese by the Organization of Brazilian Cooperative (OCB).
In addition, an ILO article that compiled responses by cooperatives and SSE enterprises to the pandemic and related government measures has been translated into Turkish by IDEMA, a social enterprise working on social and economic development in Turkey, and highlighted on its website.
