| Project launch: Support to Tunisian youth through social and solidarity economy entrepreneurship |

Funded by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg, the project aims to create decent jobs for young men and women in disadvantaged regions through the promotion of the social and solidarity economy (SSE) and its organizations. The key components are: 1) establishing a regional platform of SSE stakeholders for improved governance and coordination; and 2) creating at least 10 SSE entrepreneurial projects involving youth and/or women.

| Co-op Economy report 2019 released by Co-operatives UK |
| |
Co-operatives UK, the national network of thousands of cooperative businesses, released the ‘Co-op Economy 2019’ report. It reveals that the UK's 7,215 cooperatives have a combined turnover of £37.7 billion, up more than £400 million on 2018 levels. They employ 233,733 people and have 13.7 million members. The report notes that the cooperative model remains resilient, with almost three out of four cooperative start-ups (72%) still flourishing after the difficult first five years of existence compared to 43% of companies.
